Subdivision platting is the process of splitting one larger piece of land into several smaller parcels of land and drawing a map (or plat) of the new subdivision, often for the purpose of selling off the parcels individually.

Topographic surveys are the first step in any construction or development project. It takes place before the survey is conducted or the stakes are placed. This survey type provides a multi-dimensional depiction of a piece of property on a two-dimensional medium.

An Elevation Certificate documents important features of your property, including its location, flood zone, building characteristics and, most importantly, the elevation of its lowest floor.

alta survey

ALTA Survey is a detailed land parcel map, showing all existing improvements of the property, utilities, and significant observations within the insured estate. The survey also details the licensed surveyor's findings concerning the property boundaries and how they relate to the title.

Surveying with drones, images of the ground are taken from multiple vantage points. Through processing these images, photogrammetry software can then create orthomosaics and 3D models, from which it can measure accurate distance, as well as surfaces and volumes of physical objects.

Red Chute Land Surveying, LLC (RCLS) is a full-service land surveying firm located in Haughton, Louisiana.  RCLS is not your typical team of surveyors, technicians, and crews — we are idea innovators and forward-thinking professionals. The firm was started in June 2019 by Mr. Jason Westerman, a licensed land surveyor in the states of Louisiana and Arkansas.  Mr. Westerman is a veteran of the United States Army and has over 22 years of experience in land surveying.

 

RCLS has a staff of 8 full-time employees that all reside in Bossier Parish, Louisiana. Our team comes from a variety of military and civilian backgrounds, but we all share a passion for finding solutions to implement changes that make a difference. The firm utilizes an R10 base with an R12 Rover, two sets of Trimble R8s GPS units in a base rover configuration, and a Trimble S5 robotic total station. Along with the Trimble survey equipment we have two DJI phantom 4 pro drones to provide excellent quality aerial imagery that can be used for survey grade orthomosaic and point clouds to assist in QA CQ of survey data collected in the field. With this equipment set up, RCLS can run and operate four survey crews in a professional and effective manner.
